Since 1995, Rob Morrison (pictured above with his Partner, Christopher, and their son, Oscar) has been offering legal planning, counsel, and document preparation services to clients throughout the greater Seattle metropolitan area, with a focus on Wills, Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts, Domestic Partnership Agreements, Adoptions, Assisted Reproduction Agreements, and Guardianships.
As a sole practitioner, Rob is readily available and able to respond to the needs of his clients with a high level of personal service. As a committed partner and father, Rob understands first-hand the types of contracts necessary to the gay and lesbian community. He goes out of his way to carefully document the details required to help support and defend personal and business decisions in a court of law.
From his earliest years, Rob perceived attorneys as individuals who could truly make a difference, utilizing the skills he most admired -- logical thinking, effective communication, and an innate desire to help people.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1980, he spent the next seven years working in the trust departments of large New York City banks, followed by another four years in the trust department of what is now Bank of America. In 1995 Rob established his private law office in Seattle, and has become increasingly active in the issues that affect the gay and lesbian community.
In addition to his daily workload, Rob has been active in the King County Bar Association as a member of the Real Property and Probate Section, as well as the Guardianship and Elder Law Section. During 1999 and 2000 he was Chairman of the Sexual Minorities' Issues in the Legal Profession Committee. Since 1995, Rob has volunteered as a Volunteer Attorney for People with AIDS (VAPWA), and was nominated Volunteer of the Year with that organization. He regularly contributes to GLBT Advocacy groups including the Human Rights Campaign, and the National Gay Lesbian Task Force.
“From the moment a client walks into my office, it's my goal to develop a relationship of trust and integrity that carries forth throughout every aspect of my services. I believe in creating a positive experience by listening intently, exploring options rationally, and presenting clear choices in a way that simplifies it for my clients. My goal is a "big sigh of relief" when our work together is done -- it's something I hear often from my clients, and it gives me joy every time.”
